Travel
Mallorca is the beautiful island setting for our wedding, offering stunning scenery, Mediterranean charm, and plenty of sunshine. It’s also wonderfully easy to reach, with direct flights from Ireland, the UK, and across Europe. For guests traveling from the USA, Mallorca is just a short hop from the international hub of Barcelona, making the journey smooth and simple.
By Air
Mallorca is served by just one main airport, Palma de Mallorca (PMI), making travel simple and straightforward for all guests.
Taxis, public transport and car rentals are all available from the airport terminal
Palma city centre is less than 10km from Palma airport, and will take around 15 minutes to get there by taxi.
By Car
While it’s easy to rent a car directly from Palma de Mallorca airport, we recommend it if you plan to explore the island before or after the wedding.
Parking at our event locations is very limited, so a car won’t be necessary (or practical) for the celebrations themselves. Instead, there are plenty of local taxi services available, as well as Uber, making it simple to get around during the wedding events.
For the wedding day itself, transport will be provided to and from a central drop-off point in Palma, so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations without worrying about logistics.
By Bus
Mallorca has reliable public transport links, with the island mainly served by buses that make it easy to get around. The main connection from Palma Airport to the city is the A1 bus route, which runs regularly into central Palma.
The local urban buses in Palma are operated by EMT (Empresa Municipal de Transports Urbans de Palma), while the intercity and regional routes are managed by TIB (Transports de les Illes Balears)
Before you go
Before you set off for Mallorca, please take a moment to ensure your passport is valid for the duration of your stay and that you have any required visas in place (if applicable).
We also recommend getting travel insurance—it’s a small thing that can make a big difference if any unexpected hiccups happen with flights, luggage, or anything else along the way.
